Since starting to paint 6 years ago Helen has become completely absorbed in her art to the exclusion of all else.
The most interesting aspect is progress - where she can look back and see improvement. Largely self taught, Helen has attended many workshops. Helen was a florist for many years, which she believes helped her have a good sense of colour, texture and design.
Landscape painting is her first love, but she also enjoys still life, portraiture, and has won awards for abstract work as well at local shows and competitions.
Recently, Helen won a competition in the Artist Palette and was offered a commission to do a demonstration painting for a later issue .
