Starting on concrete paths with charcoal from his mother's laundry copper after wash day, drawing on all the pathways. In his teenage years, Bruce took a course at technical college down George St and studied commercial art for four years.
Bruce worked at Allen and Stark in Queen St, and later at Mc Whirters in Fortitude Valley as a window dresser and display artist. He also sold artwork for book illustrations and enjoys working with acrylics and oils and other mediums including 'pyrography'.
Bruce's inspiration is from man-made structures, nature, wild life, sunset skies, light and shadows.
